Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, and other relevant criteria.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements and terms that align with company goals and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for vendor communications and inquiries.
  • Monitor vendor performance and service levels, and implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure vendor performance.
  • Address vendor issues, disputes, and escalations promptly and effectively, and work with vendors to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Conduct regular vendor evaluations and performance reviews, and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, operations, and finance teams, to ensure alignment and coordination of vendor management activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in vendor management, and incorporate new approaches and strategies into vendor management processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. Additional certifications in vendor management or procurement are a plus.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management, with a strong understanding of vendor sourcing, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to negotiate favorable terms and agreements with vendors and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze vendor performance data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple vendors, contracts, and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ethical and professional conduct, with a commitment to integrity, fairness, and compliance with company policies and standards.
