Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to evaluate software applications and systems for functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing of software features, functions, and user interfaces to identify defects, bugs, and inconsistencies.
  • Document test results, defects, and issues using bug tracking tools and software testing frameworks, and communicate findings to the development team.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify specifications, and resolve issues identified during testing.
  • Participate in software design and code reviews to provide input on testability, usability, and quality aspects of software products.
  • Perform regression testing and validation of software updates, patches, and releases to ensure stability and compatibility with existing functionality.
  • Develop and maintain test environments and testing infrastructure, including test data, tools, and resources, to support ongoing testing efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance, and incorporate new tools and techniques into testing processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a QA Tester or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools.Proficiency in testing web-based applications, mobile apps, and desktop software across different platforms and devices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems, identify defects, and propose solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in testing, documenting, and reporting test results and defects.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
