Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and contractors based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability to meet procurement needs and objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions and achieve cost savings.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including operations, finance, and inventory management, to identify procurement needs and requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance, including reviewing purchase requests, obtaining quotes, and issuing purchase orders.
  • Monitor and track orders, shipments, and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of procurement requests and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues and disputes, such as quality issues, delivery delays, and invoicing discrepancies, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of procurement activities, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Analyze procurement data and metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and supplier consolidation, and implement best practices and strategies to optimize procurement processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a procurement specialist, buyer, or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of procurement principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of procurement methods, sourcing strategies, and negotiation techniques to achieve cost-effective procurement outcomes.Experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze procurement data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, and supplier management software.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
