Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and other network infrastructure components.
  • Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Monitor network performance and bandwidth usage, identify bottlenecks and network issues, and implement solutions to optimize network performance and availability.
  • Implement network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and virtual private networks (VPN), to protect against security threats and unauthorized access.
  • Administer network services, such as DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VPN, to ensure availability and reliability of network resources and services.
  • Conduct regular network maintenance activities, including software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades, to ensure security and stability of network devices and systems.
  • Perform network troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve network connectivity issues, configuration errors, and performance problems.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and changes, and maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams for reference and compliance purposes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Professional) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a network administrator or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in network equipment configuration and management, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds, or Cisco Prime.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption protocols.
  • Familiarity with network services and protocols, such as DNS, DHCP, NAT, TCP/IP, and VLANs.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
