Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees via phone, email, or in-person, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity, escalating complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patches, and backups, to ensure optimal performance and security of IT systems.
  • Set up and configure user accounts, permissions, and access rights, and manage user profiles and passwords in accordance with security policies.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to users on software applications, system procedures, and best practices for using IT resources effectively.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of IT support requests, resolutions, and inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT support, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of IT systems and services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in IT support roles, with a strong foundation in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and productivity software applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills quickly to keep pace with evolving IT environments.
