Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain inventory replenishment plans and strategies to optimize stock levels and ensure product availability.
  • Analyze sales trends, historical data, and demand forecasts to determine inventory needs and replenishment quantities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and product availability, and proactively identify and address potential stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage purchase orders, lead times, and delivery schedules to meet inventory targets.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to forecast demand, plan promotions, and launch new products.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and develop strategies to minimize excess inventory and liquidate obsolete stock.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
  • Analyze inventory performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate inventory management effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in inventory management or supply chain are a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain management roles, preferably in a retail or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to identify root causes of inventory issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of inventory management best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
