Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts receivable.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and purchase orders.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including calculating employee hours, preparing payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Generate financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, and monitor variances to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies, and participate in audits as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree or certification in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and interact with stakeholders.
  • Integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in handling financial information.
